Tamil Nadu Government extends the Lockdown for another two weeks till Sep 6, 2021

The Tamil Nadu government has extended the lockdown for another two weeks till Sep 6, 2021. The already permitted activities will continue in the State, except in containment zones.

The Tamil Nadu government has decided to reopen schools for Class 9 to 12 and all Colleges including Polytechnics from Sep 1st on a rotational basis following SOPs. All Teaching & non-teaching Staffs need to be Vaccinated.

IT/ITES firms can operate with 100% workforce. The employment training programmes of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation and Women Development Corporation will be permitted.

Anganwadis will be permitted to supply meals from Sep 1st, the District Collectors will be required to ensure the Staffs got vaccinated. Also the Creches will be allowed to open.

Theatres across the state will be permitted to operate with 50% occupancy. The proprietors will have to make sure the staff got vaccinated.

Zoological parks, botanical gardens and boat houses will be permitted. Public will also be permitted in beaches. The respective District Collectors & Corporation Commissioners will have to ensure the traders and their staffs in the outlets are Vaccinated.

All shops will be allowed to operate till 10pm.

Inter-state public bus transport will be permitted to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
